About This Project

O-tix is a SaaS product developed by Omnyfy for the events sector. We identified an opportunity in the events and exhibitions industry to offer organisers a seamless, single platform through which to execute every one of their event management needs, and to drive more ticket sales, more data-capture and better return-on-investment for themselves and their exhibitors and sponsors.

The Challenge

The events and exhibitions sector has been dominated by traditional service providers who offer ticketing, registration and badge printing. However these solutions relied on old-outdated platforms that required extensive setup and configuration and cost a significant amount – putting it outside the remit of smaller organisers who still required the same services, but couldn’t afford the cost of these traditional service providers.

Omnyfy identified a gap in the market to offer an enterprise class events technology solution at a software-as-a-service price. Our founders began their career in the events industry and we knew what frustrated organisers the most. We decided to create a platform that did not exist in the events technology space in a SaaS form – a platform that combined ticketing, registration, data-capture, mobile apps, agendas and schedules, access control, exhibitor management and visitor communications in an end-to-end solution.

What we created

The result of over 2 years of development and countless hours in research on identifying exactly what architecture to adopt to achieve our goals. The underlying technological innovation in the O-tix platform is Onepass – a combination of services, data transformation systems and parsers that delivers a unique experience to visitors. Basically a visitor to an event running O-tix can effectively use their ticket as an access pass, a means to buy and provide information to exhibitors, a mobile wallet and much more. The ticket becomes a key to the entire event.

O-tix is growing rapidly since its launch in early 2016 with over 400+ organisers signed up in just over 12 months since launch.
